Hi there, my friends!
I’m Raymond—a seasoned hotel investor and once a firm Feng Shui skeptic. Like many friends in the U.S., I used to dismiss Feng Shui as “superstition” before 2023, thinking all those claims were nonsense. But now, I want to be clear: Feng Shui is not superstition. It’s like the invisible yet real things we interact with every day—things like cell phone signals, Earth’s gravity, or the classic double-slit experiment. You can’t see them with your naked eye, but their effects prove they exist. Feng Shui’s energy field works the same way: while we can’t measure it precisely with standard scientific tools right now, its impact on how humans interact with their environment is tangible.

More importantly, Feng Shui isn’t some lofty “mysticism”—it’s a practical skill that anyone can learn. Think of it like learning to cook to master your taste buds, or gardening to tend to your plants. Even basic Feng Shui knowledge—like adjusting your desk’s position to boost focus, or choosing a daily schedule that fits your living environment—can make real improvements to your life. The Original Intent Behind Founding Syra Sage
Truth is, I chose to pour energy into Syra Sage when my hotel business was thriving—not to chase new profits, but out of a responsibility shaped by my own experiences. My goal is to spread authentic Feng Shui beyond borders and help more people. People often say “choices matter more than hard work,” and that’s true for every key moment in life: not just choosing a career path, but also managing your health, picking a partner, planning for your kids, or even arranging daily trips. If you choose a direction that fits you and your environment, you’ll save yourself a lot of detours. Feng Shui, at its core, is a “human-environment coexistence technique” refined over thousands of years—it helps us find the best choices when things get complicated. By founding Syra Sage, I hope to break down borders with this technique, pass it on, and give more people the chance to “optimize their choices” in life. To me, this meaning is far more valuable than just expanding my hotel business.
China’s Development & Feng Shui Wisdom
Friends who know China might have noticed its remarkable development in recent years. Behind this growth, besides the hard work and innovation of the Chinese people, there’s also the deep wisdom of “human-environment coexistence.” Whether it’s respecting natural patterns in urban planning—like preserving rivers and green spaces as a city’s “breathing channels”—or considering light and ventilation in building design—like aligning homes with seasonal winds—these choices all align with Feng Shui’s core principle of “working with the flow.” This ancient technique has never been disconnected from reality; instead, it quietly helps humans live in harmony with the environment and society. It’s a vivid modern example of “human-environment coexistence.”
Challenges in the Feng Shui Transmit
Unfortunately, the Feng Shui industry is now filled with unqualified charlatans. They use fake talk to scam people out of money, leaving many broke and disappointed. Worse, they tarnish the reputation of truly skilled Feng Shui practitioners—and even the entire industry. It’s like those street vendors selling “$5 Rolexes”: shoddy fakes ruin the reputation of genuine products. But we can’t let these fakes make us deny the value of authentic Feng Shui—just like we wouldn’t dismiss the craftsmanship of high-quality watches because of cheap knockoffs.
The Turning Point in My Feng Shui Belief
My complete shift in attitude toward Feng Shui came from a painful, almost life-or-death experience that proved its truth. In 2023, a corporate client of my hotel brought along Master Cai. Out of business courtesy, I met with Master Cai during his stay. During our chat, he looked at my face and aura and said, “Your energy is unstable—you might face a potential life-threatening accident. Try not to travel far between mid-September and early October.”
Initial Skepticism
Honestly, I was skeptical at the time. Isn’t this just the same routine as those con artists in movies? I thought he’d next ask for a huge consultation fee. I forced a polite reply: “Thank you, Master.” But Master Cai seemed to see my doubt. He shook his head, handed me a talisman, and said, “If you have to travel, take this—it might protect you from harm.” I took it, thanked him, and stuffed it in my inner pocket. Then I forgot all about it.
Fatal Car Crash
On September 18th—just a few days before my birthday—I had to go to Huizhou to finalize an exclusive hotel acquisition. I’d completely forgotten Master Cai’s warning. On the drive to Huizhou, I got into a terrible car accident. My car was flipped over and totaled. I suffered a mild concussion, a broken nose, a fractured right radius, a slight rib fracture, and multiple cuts on my forehead. Around my right eye alone, I needed 47 stitches. Doctors kept saying, “This is a miracle—if it had been just 0.01 centimeters more, you would’ve lost your eye. This crash could’ve killed you or left you blind in one eye.” In the end, the deal fell through, and I spent a month in the hospital.
The Talisman’s Breakage & the Scar’s Message
What shocked me even more was finding Master Cai’s talisman in my pocket after the crash—it was shattered, like it had “taken the hit” for me. Now, there’s a noticeable scar next to my right eye. That scar is my “open my eyes” moment: it made me completely sure that Feng Shui isn’t a made-up legend, but a real, practical technique. Since then, I’ve not only become a believer in Feng Shui, but also made up my mind to clear its name. I want to help more people avoid falling for fake “masters” and truly experience the value of this technique.
