Introduction：
At the foot of Zhongnan Mountain, in a deep mountain hollow, there is a small village that is destined never to appear on the map of China.
The village was very small, only the size of a palm, with only eighty-one households, none more than the other.
According to the blurred parchment genealogy in the village, the history of the village can be traced back to several hundred years ago. The ancestors of the village had already taken root in this mountain hollow at the foot of Zhongnan Mountain during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and have been settled there until now.
The villagers are mainly surnamed Gu. The tribal chiefs of successive generations and even the current village head are all surnamed Gu.
For hundreds of years, the number of households in the village has remained at eighty-one, never increasing or decreasing. This is one of the three village regulations of the village.
There are three village regulations. The first one is that the number of households in the village must be maintained at eighty-one. If there is one more household, they will be kicked out; if there is one less, they have to give birth to a child.
The second rule of the village is that the 81 ancestral houses can only be repaired and not demolished. That is to say, the houses in the village must remain in their original state from the moment they were built and cannot be moved. Even if they collapse and become uninhabitable, a new house exactly the same must be built on the original site.
The first two village regulations, though seemingly inhumane, are still acceptable, but the third one seems a bit far-fetched.
The eighty-one households in the village must support the Taoist priest in the village Taoist temple for all eternity and must not disobey. Otherwise, they will be expelled from the original family of the ancient surname.
