Core Tenet: Inheriting the Taoist mind-nourishing concept that “the heart is the official of the monarch, and when it is peaceful, the zang-fu organs are harmonious”, with “soothing the liver to relieve depression and calming the mind” as the core, the ceremony presided over by a Taoist priest adjusts the unbalanced aura of the mind and resolves the stagnated qi of emotions. It helps to abandon anxiety, depression, irritability and anger, establish the mind-nourishing concept of “calm and peaceful, conforming to nature”, relieve mental stress, calm emotional fluctuations, improve sleep quality and mental state, protect the peace of mind and emotional stability, and lay a solid psychological foundation for physical and mental health.
Ritual Preparation: Choose an auspicious day conducive to mental peace, such as “Ding Ri” (Stability Day), “An Ri” (Peace Day), and “Man Ri” (Fullness Day), and hold the ceremony at You Shi (5-7 pm) in the evening, a time when yin energy gradually rises and the mind is easy to calm. It is necessary to fast and bathe for 5 days in advance, eat a light vegetarian diet every day, avoid violent emotional fluctuations, and inform the name, date of birth and emotional distress (brief description) in advance for customizing the healing prayer. Altar arrangement: Place the tablets of Emperor Wenchang and Guanyin Bodhisattva in the center (symbolizing wisdom enlightenment and compassionate healing); on the left, display the mind-nourishing excerpts from “Tao Te Ching” and sandalwood (symbolizing calming the mind); on the right, place a clean water bowl and lilies (implying clearing the heart to relieve depression and peaceful state of mind); burn three sticks of agarwood in front of the altar to create a quiet mind-nourishing aura. The presiding Taoist priest observes precepts for three days in advance, sorts out the key points of Taoist mind-nourishing wisdom, and prepares the healing mantra and mind-calming maxims.
Solemn Ritual: Presided over by a Taoist priest well-versed in Taoist mind-nourishing culture, the ritual adapts to mental regulation with a slow and peaceful rhythm—
Altar Setup and Worshiping the Sage: The Taoist priest arranges the altar utensils, holds agarwood and bows three times to the two sacred statues, recites the “Emperor Wenchang Wisdom and Mind-Calming Mantra” and “Guanyin Bodhisattva Compassionate Healing Mantra”, and prays for the dual blessing of wisdom and compassion;
Burning Incense to Calm the Mind: The Taoist priest stands quietly in front of the altar, guides the worshiper to close their eyes and calm their breath, and after the agarwood fragrance spreads, recites the mind-calming maxim “fragrance enters the nostrils, the mind calms with the fragrance, distracting thoughts dissipate, and the mind is naturally peaceful”;
Wisdom Explanation: The Taoist priest selects the excerpt “Reach the extreme of emptiness, and hold fast to tranquility” from “Tao Te Ching”, interprets it in plain language, and explains the healing essence of “nourishing the mind with emptiness and tranquility, conforming to the original heart”;
Classic Blessing: The Taoist priest holds the “Tao Te Ching” excerpts, gently covers them on the sandalwood, sprinkles a little clean water on the classic, and recites the blessing “classics contain wisdom, sandalwood calms the mind, knots in the heart are resolved, and the mind is peaceful”;
Lily Depression-Relieving: The Taoist priest takes lilies and places them on a tray, arranging them into the character “和” (harmony) in front of the tablet, reciting the depression-relieving words “lilies clear the heart, relieve depression and calm the mind; peaceful state of mind, all things are peaceful” while placing;
Healing Prayer: The Taoist priest reads the mind-healing prayer tailored for the worshiper, detailing the wishes for emotional calming, stress relief and mental peace;
Positive Affirmation Meditation: The Taoist priest leads the worshiper to recite the positive maxim “no worries in the heart, go with the flow; peaceful emotions, peaceful mind” silently, and meditate with closed eyes for three minutes;
Closing the Altar and Thanking the Sage: The Taoist priest holds incense and bows three times to thank the two sacred statues, offers the blessed lilies and sandalwood in front of the altar, and recites “healing is completed, the mind is peaceful; sacred power protects, peaceful state of mind”, concluding the ritual successfully.
Delivery Standard: Provide a full HD video of the ceremony, completely recording the altar arrangement, positive affirmation guidance and core ritual links to ensure clear viewing.
